wpd windmanager is growing and further expanding its electrical engineering services. After wpd windmanager technik already took over the operational areas and personnel of Oltec Service GmbH at the beginning of the year, Deutsche Windtechnik Umspannwerke will now be integrated into the company as well. „Over the years, our electrical engineering division has grown continuously,“ explains Nils Brümmer, managing director of wpd windmanager technik GmbH. „With the acquisition of Deutsche Windtechnik Umspannwerke, we are now taking the next step and expand the portfolio of our electrical engineering services – from wind energy or PV systems to transfer stations and substations.“
Further expansion of services around wind turbines, substations and transfer stations
Above all, customers will benefit from the „new“ know-how as wpd windmanager now offers even more electrotechnical services from a single source. A major advantage of the new cooperation: There were already numerous mutual projects between wpd windmanager and Deutsche Windtechnik Umspannwerke: „We have already been working together with the colleagues from wpd windmanager for years,“ says Frank Lorenzen, long-standing managing director of Deutsche Windtechnik Umspannwerke. „wpd windmanager has a great electrotechnical expertise in all aspects of wind farms, solar farms and their connection. With our substation services, we fit in very well.“ A total of nine colleagues from Deutsche Windtechnik Umspannwerke now strengthen wpd windmanager technik, while Frank Lorenzen continues to be a significant part of the team as managing director of wpd windmanager technik. The headquarters of the new colleagues remains in Flintbek near Kiel.
