What makes a modern leader? How do they manage the balancing act between leadership and their role as a team member? And how do we at wpd windmanager actually interpret leadership, in a company with flat hierarchies?
We discussed all this and much more last week at the kickoff of our new leadership development program Leadership@windmanager with the experts from k.brio and more than 30 managers from our national locations in Bremen, Hamburg, Rostock, Erkelenz and Egeln. In sunny weather, all possibilities of the Hotel Heidegrund in Garrel were used for the exchange – both indoors and outdoors in the open nature.
As a special group task, the #teamwindmanager even built its own wind farm including a marketing strategy. This was visibly fun for all participants. In the future, however, we will probably leave the project planning to our colleagues at wpd AG. (They know way better how to do it.) And we will continue to focus on our core business: operational management.
The kickoff was the beginning of our Leadership@windmanager program. Four more leadership development modules will follow for our national managers. For our international managers it will start the week after next, when we welcome them to our big windmanager United Party in Bremen. Again we will start with a joint kick off in the beautiful Lüneburger Heide. Due to the distance and different time zones the colleagues will do their remaining program online.
