As part of the advanced training program „Project Development Environment – Energy – Sustainability“ (PUEN) organized by the University of Bremen, 13 interested job returnees and re-entrants visited wpd windmanager at the Stephanitorsbollwerk in Bremen on Monday, 6 May 2019.
The fields of environment, energy and sustainability play an increasingly important role in the labor market. For this reason, the participants from the MINT environment took the chance to inform themselves on site about the various employment opportunities in the wind energy sector. At the same time, they were able to discover the great benefits and job opportunities that wpd windmanager offers as an attractive employer.
The colleagues gave practical insights into their own professional careers and shared their everyday experiences in various occupational fields – from human resources and international wind farm projects to quality and information management. A special highlight of the event was the visit to the company’s own control room. Here, wind farms from all over the world are digitally monitored and supported 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
A glance back shows how successful the program has already been: In recent years, four former participants of the professional development program were employed by wpd. The PUEN visitors were therefore particularly excited to listen to the presentations of the former participants.
To be continued next year.
